| Fresher's at matriculation 2017 |
Information reaching unicalmatters today the Vice Chancellor of the University of calabar Prof. Zana I. Akpagu is currently at Kenya for administrative work.
In view of the above, the 2019/20 Matriculation Ceremony may be postponed as it has always been one of the administrative duties of the Vice Chancellor to formally welcome all newly admitted students into the University as one of the major activities to mark the annual Matriculation Ceremony of the institution.
It is pertinent you know that; Matriculation Ceremony has always been one of those days, that majority of the newly intakes will be given the opportunity to SEE the Vice Chancellor and our Vice Chancellor has always granted them this rare opportunity amidst his busy schedules.
Nonetheless, the Vice Chancellor still has the autonomy to appoint either the Vice Chancellor (Academics) or Vice Chancellor (Admin) to represent him so as to avoid postponement and in turn deny this freshmen the opportunity to see their Vice Chancellor.
It's yet to be known if the Vice Chancellor will fly back on time for this event or he'll appoint someone to stand in for him or he'll call for an immediately postponement of the event. Which ever be the case, we shall let you know in due course.
With all considerations the unical matriculation 2020 may be postponed due to the VCs absense
