The University of calabar students Union government award night held at the Dome, calabar municipal garden on Friday 28th of February.
The SUG president, Raymond Moses Derek ( RMD) was the chief host and organizer of the event, the unical SUG award night was spiced up with many awards for several eminent persons, as the theme of the programme is "hereos of Unical".
The were several Honorary awards as RMD awarded the governor of cross river State who was heavily represented and also the orator of the 9th Senate of the federal republic of Nigeria sen. Sandy onor was awarded by RMD, he was also represented, Hon. Legor idagbo a member of the federal house of representative was also awarded and he was represented.

Among all honorary awardees present were the commissioner for health cross River State, Dr. Betta Edu, the Former SA to the governor Mrs. Beatrice Akpala, The SA to the governor of akwa ibom state, the Cross river State chairman of waterboard, a former SUG president of Unical Apostle Afufu Anthony was also present to present awards.
The Unical SUG award night is an event not organized by the SUG director of socials but the SUG president .
