ASUU strike: unical chapter calls an urgent meeting with members

Following the announcement of the 2 weeks warning strike by the Academic Staff union of Universities (ASUU).

The ASUU University of calabar calabar chapter has called an urgent meeting with all members to decide on the strike action announced to take effect on Monday 9th March. The meeting is scheduled to hold at the University of calabar international conference centre by 1pm and the key Agenda is Strike.

The National President of the union, Biodun Ogunyemi, who read the declaration after the ASUU National Executive Council meeting held in Enugu, said the warning strike takes effect on Monday the 9th of March.

According to him, the strike action was to compel FG to implement the agreement and resolution of Memorandum of Action it had with the union from 2009, 2013, 2017 and 2019.
