2 suspended and 7 appointments made as Comr. Emmanuel orok dissolves 2019/2020 NACRISS WW cabinet

AN ADDRESS DELIVERED BY HIS EXCELLENCY, PRESIDENT EMMANUEL OROK DUKE ON THE DISSOLUTION CONGRESS OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CROSS RIVER STATE STUDENTS WORLDWIDE ( NACRISS-WW) HELD ON THE 26th DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 2020 AT CROSS RIVER STATE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, CALABAR

Distinguished comrades and compatriots, it is with profound humility and immense gratitude to the Almighty God that I write and deliver this address today, being the day of the dissolution of the Comr. Emmanuel Orok Duke led executive council of the National Association Of Cross River State Students Worldwide. Indeed, everything with a beginning must always meet its end.

My administration was duly inaugurated on the 21st day of August 2019 and through that period until this time, sailing the ship of leadership of our dear association has been highly tasking, overly challenging and difficult as I was greeted by a whole lot. These experiences, I do not intend to share with you on this day.

As a government, there has been a plethora of persons who have been so supportive and instrumental to the numerous successes we have recorded over time.

In view of the above, may I seize this veritable moment and opportunity to express my depths of gratitude and appreciation to, in no particular order, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Professor Ben Ayade, The Deputy Governor, Honourable Chief Of Staff to the Executive Governor, distinguished commissioners in the State, for their continuous supports and goodwill towards our administration.

I also wish to extend my gratitude to our leaders at the State and National Assembly, representing the various constituencies and districts of our great state, the Nigerian Police Force and other security agencies for their support and advises to us as a government.

Finally, may I appreciate sincerely all my executives, worldwide and chapter presidents of the different local governments associations in the state, stakeholders and all members of our beloved association for having gargantuan faith in this administration and supporting it to the end. May God's blessings never elude you all. Thank you!

Let me state it here that in the course and within the pendency of my administration, my attention was drawn to the existence of a parallel government ran by *Comr. Awatt A. Eso* Upon being notified about this, I took necessary steps and measures to call upon him for the purpose of having a dialogue and arriving at a consensus for the common good and progress of our Association. These efforts, were casted to the skies and rightly so, thwarted by him as he was resolute on being autonomous and independent.

May I bring it to your notices that as a result of the existence of this faction headed by him, students of our association have been attacked, threatened and dealt with. Also, we have been briefed, on good authority that he is planning a counter dissolution Congress slated to hold next week. This, we have condoned this long.

Hence the above, in line with my constitutionally guaranteed powers, I hereby suspend *Comr. Awatt A. Eso* from all NACRISS-Ww activities, for running a parallel government, breaching the peace that exist in NACRISS-WW and possible treason.

May I further ORDER that the Council of Worldwide Presidents shall not sit except on the written approval and ratification of the Sole Administrator and the Electoral committee chairman of our association. The above ORDER, is given in view of the fact that they are not a body recognised by the constitution of our Association hence must be placed under check and supervision.

I Suspend also, the Council Chief *(Comr. Fredrick Itanene)* for gross misconduct and flagrant abuse of office.

Having done the above, with me lies the constitutional powers to dissolve my administration and in this vein, I do hereby *DISSOLVE the President Emmanuel Orok Duke Led Executive Council this day, the 26th day of September, 2020.*

In line with the constitutional duty bestowed upon me to further appoint a Sole Administrator and set up an Electoral Committee who will conduct elections to usher in a new administration for our association, I hereby make the following appointments hereunder;

1. Kejuo Victor A.  (Solad- Central)

2. Omori Okokon (Eleco chairman- South)

3. Ogar Francis (Eleco Sec. - North)

4. Ofutani Joseph (Member)

5. Charles Ajap (Member)

6. Catherine Odey (Member)

7. Awa Peter (Member)

I once again thank you, distinguished comrades and compatriots for your support and endearing nature even as I advise that you all conduct yourselves in a way and manner that will not threaten to peaceful coexistence of our dear association.

God bless you!

God bless NACRISS-WW.

God bless Cross River State.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria!

Comr. Emmanuel Orok Duke.
