The law student association of Nigeria, University of calabar chapter bagged major awards at the just concluded Lawsan National convention which was held in Abuja and included lawsanites from 53 universities across Nigeria.
The award ceremony was part of the 2020 Convention of the Law Students’ Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN). The Convention commenced on Wednesday the 9th day of September, 2020 at Zeus Paradise Hotel, Mabushi, Abuja and ended on Friday the 11th day of September, 2020 with a Grand Dinner and an Award ceremony.
Lawsanites from the University of calabar carried the day as they bagged major awards listed below
Faculty of Law, University of calabar emerged best faculty of the year.
Unical Lawsan president, Etaba Agbor emerged best faculty president of the year.
Former ILSA president and current ILC president, Nelly helen Ebruka emerged female law student of the year.
Previously, the Unical Lawsan president got an award for best faculty president in South south Nigeria and also got best faculty president in the University of calabar.
Also Nelly helen Ebruka the best female law student founded the female law students forum and she was also listed among the top 10 contributors to Africa space industry making her the first and only Nigerian in the list.
The University of calabar moot and mock society was also nominated as the best society, unical lawsanites Andondiye emmanuel, Williams emmanuel and Arinze Michael were also shortlisted for awards Making it a total of 7 nominations from the University of calabar of which they carted away with 3.
